Mission « Omega Delta Phi – Upsilon Chapter

Mission

The purpose of this Brotherhood, a Service/Social Fraternity, dedicated to the needs and the concerns of our communities is and shall be to promote and maintain our traditional values of Unity, Honesty, Integrity, and Leadership. This Brotherhood was founded in order to provide, to any man, a diverse fraternal experience which coincides with a higher education.

Academics

Omega Delta Phi is fiercely dedicated to maintaining a high level of academic excellence. As part of our academic guidelines we require members to attend a minimum of 6 group study hours per week. The Internal Vice-President, who is charge of all academic activities, maintains records of all study hours and provides recommendations to members who may benefit from additional academic assistance. Free tutoring and advising is provided to all members. We reward brothers who excel academically in many ways, including with our “Highest GPA” award at our annual banquet.

Service

Omega Delta Phi has a strong, rich tradition of service to our communities. We strive to excel in every field of human endeavor, setting the example and creating new standards for our fellow students. Over the past decade, chapters across the nation have honored and amplified the image of Omega Delta Phi and of their respective universities by making many contributions to our communities and to the uplifting humanity.

Service is the light in which Omega Delta Phi shines upon the world. Many of the chapters have been honored for their continued service to the community for such projects such as tutoring, mentoring, recruitment, and work with the elderly. Our positive impact on our communities is powerful and our chapters continue to receive an unprecedented number of accolades. Our members have delivered over 30,000 hours of veer service to the community.

For Upsilon chapter, one of our biggest and most successful service events is our annual “24-Hour-Freeze”, which is held just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. The purpose of this event is to collect non-perishable food, as well as, clothing and blankets for local area
food banks and the Salvation Army. Additional community service projects include our coordination of the WSU Children’s Center Haunted House, tutoring students to pass the General Education Diploma (GED) test, grounds upkeep for Pioneer Square Retirement Home, and the annual Relay for Life cancer research fundraiser.

Omega Delta Phi has become the largest Latino Founded Service Fraternity and will continue to grow and provide for it’s distinct communities for which each chapter resides. All of our chapters. colonies, and clubs take great pride in contributing countless hours of community service to their surrounding communities.
